Meet David Young
 
David young - les paul guitar

David Young works as a music writer, producer and guitarist.

David also works as busy guitar teacher and session guitarist and can be seen playing guitar in the Queen musical   “We Will Rock You” at the Dominion theatre in London’s West End.

In 2005 he was seen extensively on Sky television giving electric guitar lessons on behalf of music education specialists “Gigajam” for whom he is the guitar school course writer.

David is one of the principle organisers of the bi-annual London International Guitar festival.

He co-wrote the musical “Bloodbath” with Julie Maguire (script Tony McHale) which was showcased at “The Venue” in Leicester Sq and will open in London’s West End in April 2008.

As well as co-writing the music for Bloodbath he has also been commissioned to write music for various web based companies including Harley Davidson motorcycles. 

David produced the worldwide acclaimed DVD “Classical Guitar Performance” by Carlos Bonell and wrote the book “Essential Classics for Guitar” which was based on that DVD. 

In 2007 David instigated and is executive producer of a project to record the Venezuelan National Symphony Orchestra performing the music of Queen featuring the guitar playing of Carlos Bonell. This album was recorded in July 2007 in South America and will be released in early 2008..
